The Makita UB004G is a professional cordless backpack leaf blower powered by two 40V Max XGT batteries, engineered for demanding grounds maintenance, landscaping, estate management, and commercial clearing work. Drawing on twin Makita XGT batteries connected in parallel, the UB004G delivers blowing force comparable to a traditional 65cc petrol-powered backpack blower when used with BL4080H 8.0Ah batteries — offering equivalent performance without fuel costs, exhaust emissions, or the complexity of engine maintenance. A maximum air velocity of 96m/s and airflow of up to 19.1m³/min make light work of heavy debris loads, wet leaves, grass clippings, and accumulated material across large areas including car parks, sports facilities, and commercial grounds. The brushless motor at the core of this machine delivers improved efficiency and a longer service life compared to brushed alternatives, while the ergonomic backpack harness distributes the unit’s weight evenly across the shoulders and back to reduce fatigue during extended use. Makita’s eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) provides enhanced resistance to dust and moisture ingress, ensuring reliable performance in the kind of challenging outdoor conditions professional grounds teams regularly encounter. An anti-restart function prevents accidental start-up after battery installation or power interruption, adding a practical layer of operational safety. With adjustable blowing force from 17N to 32N, the UB004G suits contractors, local authorities, estate managers, and landscaping professionals who need petrol-class cordless performance on a daily basis.
