The Handy THLC29142 is a petrol plate compactor designed for compacting loose soil, sand, and gravel on construction and landscaping sites. Powered by a Loncin 163cc OHV 4-stroke engine, it delivers reliable performance where a stable, load-bearing surface is essential. Working on uncompacted ground creates serious risks, including water seepage, frost damage, and soil settlement. This plate compactor addresses those issues directly by reducing soil permeability and increasing the ground’s load-bearing capacity — making it a practical choice for contractors preparing bases for structures, paving, or heavy equipment. A reinforced, self-cleaning base plate minimises maintenance downtime, while the self-adjusting centrifugal clutch keeps operation straightforward. The closed V-belt guard provides an added layer of safety on busy job sites, and the folding handle makes storage and transport more convenient. The THLC29142 is also compatible with Handy’s optional folding wheel kit (part no: HDYTHLC31120), which can be folded down to improve manoeuvrability when moving the machine between locations.
