The Sealey SPBC40 is a professional-grade 40 amp battery charger and support unit designed for automotive workshops and mobile technicians. This intelligent 7-stage charger automatically detects and charges 6V, 12V, or 24V batteries, making it suitable for cars, vans, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. With automatic chemistry selection, it safely charges EFB and AGM (including stop/start), GEL, lead acid, and calcium batteries, whilst a dedicated selection button enables lithium battery charging. The unit excels at battery recovery, featuring zero volt charging capability to restore completely discharged batteries once any load is removed. An old battery sulphation repair function helps extend battery life, whilst the 13.5V DC power supply mode provides essential battery support during prolonged electronic diagnostic checks – invaluable for maintaining system settings during vehicle repairs. Professional safety features include reverse polarity, short circuit, over temperature and overcharging protection, ensuring safe operation in busy workshop environments. The intuitive LED screen displays charging voltage, current, battery capacity percentage, selected voltage mode, and charging stages for clear monitoring. An intelligent cooling fan operates only when required, reducing noise and energy consumption. The compact design includes mounting brackets for permanent wall or bench installation, ideal for professional garage setups where space optimisation matters. Suitable for charging batteries from 80–400Ah capacity, this versatile unit meets the demands of modern automotive workshops dealing with diverse vehicle types. Backed by a 5-year guarantee, it’s built for reliable daily professional use.
